COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Coronavirus pandemic is a global epidemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The World Health Organization declared a public health emergency on COVID-19 on January 30, 2020, followed by an epidemic on March 11, 2020. By May 28, 2021, more than 168 million had been confirmed, and more than 3.5 million had been confirmed to be caused by COVID-19, making it the deadliest pandemic in history.

They have high variability and are not life threatening from anyone. COVID-19 is transmitted when air is inhaled by water droplets and small airborne particles. The risk of inhaling these is highest when people are nearby, but can stay longer, especially indoors. Spraying or spraying with contaminated fluids and rarely transmission through contaminated surfaces can also occur. Humans can be infected for up to 20 days, and the virus can spread without any symptoms

Recommended preventive measures include social isolation, wearing face masks, ventilation and air filtration, hand washing, covering one's mouth when coughing or sneezing, surface disinfection, and monitoring and self-isolation for people with exposure or symptoms. Since December 2020, several vaccines have been developed and widely distributed. Current therapies focus on addressing the symptoms, but the development of antiviral drugs is still in progress. Authorities around the world have responded with travel restrictions, locks / quarantines, workplace hazard controls and business closures. Many jurisdictions have been enacted to increase the testing capacity and to trace the connections of the infected.
