25th Anniversary Of Srilankan's Cricket World Cup

Sri-Lankan cricketers had wrote a new page to the world at Lahore cricket stadium in 1996 against to the  dangerous team of Australia. It was a proud moment to the whole Sri-Lankans people. Still no Sri-Lankan team could achieve that victory. Arjun Ranathunga who is the winning captain of world cup was give a big effort to won this match. The days around the 1996 World cup were incredibly dark. A terrorist attack on the central bank killed 91 people and injured over 800 just the few weeks before the final. These circumstance make 1996 particularly significant and even more memorable.

An official celebration was organized by the patronage of Hons. Mahinda Rajapaksha, Ministry of sport, and Srilankan cricket. Organizing committee have invited to all the past cricketers who played in the world cup and past cricket captains to involved the party.  In the celebration party captain Arjuna  Ranathunga shared his experience and decision how they made that historical day. 

Finally Prime minister recalled the day that Sri-Lankan cricket team arrived to Sri-lanka and the Arjun Ranathunga and his team mates celebrate their victory. Hons. Mahinda Rajapaksha conclude his speech by thanking to the organizers to make such a Programme and requested to the legends to support Sri-Lankan cricket to fix the cricket again and bring another World cup to sri lanka...
